*ShhKraack!*
'Contact... let's see how hard this thing falls.'
Sunlight cascaded upon the dark material of the Dark Knight's heroic costume. It was odd, and so out of his element to work out in broad daylight. His towering figure, and stone cold gaze wasn't as effective in the darkness as it was in broad daylight. His strength was the usage of fear and stealth, and at this hour, that wasn't quite possible.
There wasn't much that could coax the nocturnal creature out into the daylight, however the current situation called for someone of the Dark Knight's caliber. Gotham City's Police department had failed to take care of the problem, of course it was expected of them. They weren't exactly the military (which is who this type of problem called for), but even the United States Military was facing difficulties.
Man's most destructive weapons were futile against this oncoming threat, so now it was time for the big guns to handle the situation.
Electric brass knuckles sparked with electricity as the Dark Knight poised himself, pulling his body into another fighting stance as the creature that had just been hit fell to the ground. He had come to Gotham Square straight from his bed, awakening to the worried look of Alfred who was holding the special cellphone that the Batman used to communicate with Commissioner Gordon.
“We have a huge problem in Gotham Square.”
The voice of Gordon projected from the other end, Bruce Wayne, playboy millionaire could feel the rising distress in his voice.
“How big?”
Bruce responded using the raspy voice that he donned with under the Dark Knight guise.
“Extraterrestrial Big... let's just say that a good deal of the city is overrun by these things.”
Without asking for more specific information, the Bruce Wayne rose from his bed and briskly made his way to the Batcave to find out what exactly he was dealing with.
They were aliens, creatures out of this world and one was standing right before him its teeth grinding together as it stared down at the man in a costume, sizing him down with every intention to make him part of the hundreds that it had already killed.
Readying himself, Batman watched as the alien raised its right clawed hand and attempted to use a right hook to knock him down. Nimbly ducking to avoid the hit, Batman rose with an uppercut, the electricity from the brass knuckles lighting up dangerously as it connected with the alien's jaw and sent it stumbling backwards.
It fell just like its comrade, but it definitely was not out for the count. Making a dangerous hissing sound, it began to rise again, and the scorched skin beneath its jaw was already healing at an accelerating rate. Leaping backwards, Batman moved out of the way to avoid another alien which was attempting to tackle him from the side.
He had been fighting for almost an hour now, and he was receiving absolutely no result from his hard punches and kicks. His weapons used to rid of lame ducked villains were useless against the aliens who seemed to brush away his obstacles with very little effort.
'They heal at accelerated rates, possess some form of super strength, have tough exteriors, and are savage fighters. From where they originate, I don't know. What they are, I don't know. What they want, well by the looks of things, complete annihilation of all human life.'
Landing on the ground again, he felt the ground tremble slightly as a hoard of aliens rushed towards him. Responding instinctively, he quickly reached for his utility belt and tossed a handful of black capsules towards the oncoming hoard.
*KaaBoOoM!*
Extending a grapple the Dark Knight moved towards higher ground, leaving room for him to survey the aliens from above. The small explosion did not seem to faze them, as they were already rubbing their hands over their already healing faces and limbs. Around them was nothing but utter destruction.
Gotham Square was the city's most busiest center, and now it was absolutely desolate. Save for a few bodies lying here and there, busted fire hydrants, and cars that had been completely turned over as well as fires roaring out of business stores.
Complete and utter hell.
*HIiiSsssS*
The sound came from behind him, and the Dark Knight immediately knew that one of the aliens had come to join him at his roost. Reaching for his utility belt slowly, he prepared to attack it with a bat-a-rang. Just a few inches away from the pouch, he felt the alien take a hold of his neck, and raise him into the air. Already holding onto the bat-a-rang the Dark Knight grit his teeth as he attempted to release himself from the alien's grip.
Taking hold of the bat-a-rang, he began to hack at the alien's hand, but to no avail. Switching his battle plan here, he looked at the alien, and tossed it straight into its eye. The alien roared, and released its grip on the Dark Knight, allowing to fall several feet back to the ground.
'I think I might need backup.'
Batman thought to himself as he released him grapple and allowed himself to swing through the air, before an alien leaped onto him and they both fell onto the ground. Rolling over in a tussle, man and beast, wrestled with one another and the alien attempting to clamp its jaw onto Batman's face and Batman holding it back with both hands. The chatter of aliens surrounded them, and Batman felt saliva from the beast fall onto his face. He grimaced utterly disgusted by this creature.
He charged his electric knuckles and rammed it against the alien's throat. No response.
He tried it again. The alien did not even flinch.
'And they are adaptive...'
He raised his legs ready to attempt to push the alien off. There was no doubt that word would get around of this situation. He knew there were others in Gotham, question was, where were they?
Ramming his feet into the beasts abdomen, he rolled over and narrowly avoid the stomp of another alien. It would be a little difficult getting back on his feet now.

"Ahahahaha! Kate, you sure know how to please a crowd!"
"Great speech Katherine."
"Suck ups."
Kate was sure to keep her voice low as she sat back down at her table. She hated everyone in this room, yet she had to be here as a representative for the Kane family. To be honest, Kate wasn't even sure why she had to be here to begin with. Some sort of gala or banquet.
"You do have a way with words, you know. Don't get snippy with them, they're only trying to encourage you."
"Shut up Renee."
Kate smiled and kissed her cheek. Renee her hand hand on Kate's thigh under the table. Kate smiled once more and Renee's hand slid under Kate's ruby-red dress. Kate looked over at Renee.
"Wait until we get home."
"Shut up Kate."
They both smiled as another man walked up on stage and began talking. Neither of them knew what he was saying because his words went in one ear and out the other. Kate was too busy thinking about Renee, and how she did on stage.
Kate looked back at Renee and sighed. She tried so hard to look nice for Kate's appearance here but she couldn't do any better than a clean Gotham PD uniform. At least her hair was up and she had some make-up on. Actually, Kate was lucky Renee was even here.
Kate looked down and fluffed her white boa that was rested on her shoulders. She then saw a briefcase that was placed next to her feet. Inside the lead-lined case was Kate's Batwoman uniform. Only two people knew Kate was Batwoman, Kate and Renee.
All Gotham PD! This is Commisioner Gordon, please report to the station ASAP! We have reports of extraterrestrial life in Gotham Square. Repeat---
Kate, along with most of the people in the room, looked over at Renee as her cheeks flushed red. Surprise, surprise, she forgot to turn off her police communicator. It was a good thing, though, that she forgot because, how else would Kate know that Batwoman was needed? Renee looked up at Kate and they locked eyes.
"I need to go."
Kate stood up and everyone in the room looked at the couple as they stood up. Renee had a good reason to be leaving but no one knew why Kate had to leave with her.
"She needs a ride to the Station."
Kate answered the unasked question as they walked towards the door. Renee pushed the doors open and the couple burst out of the building.
"More like the other way around, Kate."
Renee smiled as they both slid into the squad car. Kate turned the police scanner on as they sped towards the Kane mansion.
"Stay here and act as an Oracle. You're my 'eyes and ears'."
Batwoman looked at Renee and smiled. She pulled her in and kissed her girlfriend before leaving for Gotham Square. Batwoman approached her motorcycle and slid on. She revved the engine and looked back at Renee.
"I'll be fine, trust me."
Batwoman soared onto the streets of Gotham in broad daylight, something she wasn't used to. It felt very strange to be driving around dressed as Batwoman during the day. The sun beating down on her in her heavy suit was something that needed getting used to.
"Renee to Batwoman, do you read me?"
"Of course I read you, Renee."
"Approaching Gotham Square in less than five minutes."
Batwoman slowed down on her motorcycle as a thick fog of black smoke appeared where Gotham Square used to be. Batwoman finally stopped her bike and hopped off. She looked around in utter shock. It was quite obvious hell was on Earth in Gotham.
Dead bodies were scattered everywhere, fire hydrants were busted open, sending water spewing up, and there were hideous aliens traveling about. On the ground before Batwoman, the all mighty Batman was wresting with one of the aliens.
Batwoman dove towards the alien. She landed on its back in a handstand and, using all its might, continued with the flip and threw the alien away. Batwoman landed on the ground with a sigh. She backed up towards the now standing Batman until they were back to back. Aliens surrounded them until they were trapped in a circle.
"I think we need some help."

Rroarrr-uh
Up ahead of him, Tim can see the billowing gray dust that was once Gotham Square. Someone, or something had just set off an explosive. Tim was willing to bet that it was his mentor, trying to get some damage in. He accelerates, adrenaline shooting through his veins as he draws a breath in and flies through the settling gray dust.
The scene that has played out is terrifying. Even for someone like Tim, who has seen so many horrible things in his short life.
I'm sorry, Zoanne. Looks like that date isn't gonna happen tonight.
"I think we need some help."
The roar of a motorcycle, barely heard over the sounds of the creatures grew louder and louder as a slim figure dressed in red and black with a shiny black helmet covering his features burst into the once mighty square. For less than a few seconds he was airborne, the mighty bike roaring between his legs as the scene developed before deep blue eyes that lurked behind a mirrored visor.
He turns the handles sharply, the bike skidding to a stop as he flies from the seat, flipping several times before landing on his feet with cat like grace, his knees bent at slight angles, his bo staff held out in front of him in a defensive position.
"Batman. What the hell, we're the urban legends. Why're we out in the sun?" he asks with a wry smile as he dives into the fray. He is poetry in motion as he fights, each movement part of a fluid dance.
But he is not facing any ordinary thug.
The cackle and bursts of static that announced the widespread panic as the invasion struck woke Tim from a deep sleep. He blinked, rolled over, the creamy white sheets twisting around his lean and muscular frame as he grappled for the scanner that rested on his bedside table. A batarang falls off and clatters to the floor as he finally locates the scanner through half lidded eyes and brings it up to rest beside his ear as he listens. With each word that he catches, alarm builds and sleepiness is shaken off as he jumps to his feet.
With a practiced hop, he untangles himself from the bed sheets and hurriedly steps into his under armour, then the costume itself.
Mask. Where's my mask?
Frustration climbs into the young mans eyes as he scans the room, trying to figure out where the hell he had dropped it just a few hours ago before slipping into the bed.
Blue eyes scan quickly, flicking from object to object. With a grunt of satisfaction he dives for the special mask and takes off from the room, exiting via the doorway for once. The world was screwed anyway.
He breathes out, his fist slamming into where the creatures neck was at a synchronized moment as he quickly fought his way to Batman and Batwoman.
One problem though. There was still a wall of grey flesh between them. Tim backs up a step, takes a flying leap, touches with one hand down on the teeming mass of aliens before him and then is flying through the air again too land in a fighting position, the bo staff clenched in his leather gloves crosswise with his body. On one side was his mentor, on the other, Batwoman.
Where the hell was Cass and Dick?

“Why don't you get a hobby Cass?”
Babs mumbled, more to cassandra than her headset into her head set. She had asked the girl wonder that many times before. But the girl was addicted to fighting crime. She had vowed she would be but, Babs always wished she would be so addicted. She pushed those thoughts away and focused to the task at hand. Her left hand reached up and pulled a strand behind her hair, she leaned forward in her wheel chair and observed the screens.
“There is nothing, absolutely no one is---”
Barbra began again, but she was caught off the the ringing of a telephone number she never thought she'd see so soon. Cassandra perked up against the wall, her arms still crossed. She tried to play it off as thought she hadn't heard the ring, turned her head and waited for Babs to answer. And the oracle did, she pulled the phone pressed yes and put the phone to her ear.
“Hello? C-commissioner Gordon!”
Cassandra's arms crossed tighter around her chest. Gordon? Calling Oracle? That couldn't just be a dinner date. She moved from her relaxing position against the wall. Finding herself next to Barbra and pulling on her mask. Her read head companion was repeating the same conformation on the phone.
“Yes, yes... I understand... yes... No--- Batgirl... yes... --- wait....”
Oracle hung up on instant, defiantly not a dinner date to catch up on current events. Cassandra observed her partners facial expression. It was across between anxious and tired. Her direction snapped onto what she was typing. The red head was going so fast she could only catch few words.
'alien – landing – gotham – world wide – b --- bad.'
Cassandra raised a brow, but of course you couldn't really see that looking at her mask all the time. Oracle was looking on all computers, how she could multitasking in such ways once put Cassandra in awe. Now it was just utterly confusing.
"How could this have gone unannounced!"
Barbra fumed, turning around in her wheel chair to pull up a laptop from below her desk and adding it to the other screens with a simple cord into the back.
"Extraterrestrial life... has landed in Gotham square. Its been all hush hush by the Gotham City Police department. They're getting torn apart. Cass..."
Her oracle paused, pulling up a head set and putting it on. She tapped the microphone.
"I'm your Oracle, and your going out there. Batman is fighting, Batwoman, Huntress --- every hero in Gotham..."
Barbra pointed to the cameras she had access to. She was watching Batman, with knuckles. Maybe Cassandra should have those too.
"How do I hurt them?"
Cassandra asked, two fingers pressed against her ear turning on her ear piece. Her eye's narrowed, they had no particular battle style, it was all about out numbering and fighting. Very primitive to her.
"You don't have electrical knuckles do you?"
"No... I have something... better."
Cassandra moved away to the elevator, she wasn't going to wait to see what would happen within the square. She was already bolting down to the elevator. Oracle's voice buzzing warnings as she threw open the locker room door and made her way to her favorite vehicle. The Bat Motorcycle, a normal motorcycle, with a lot of Bruce Wayne's ramifications. She pushed her cape back to sit upon the seat, the second her body sat upon the bike it lit up. She leaned forward and gripped the handles, revetting and pulling the bike into a smooth 180.
The motorcycle sped from the garage doors below the clock tower. She needed to discover they're points quickly, the easiest way to defeat the alien. She'd watch Batman punch them with the electrical knuckles but there was no telling how long that would last. Her breathing was calm as it was, even on the motorcycle. She always went into a fight calm and never came out anything less.
She bent deeper into the bike as it zoomed through the streets. The fast and father she went the people of gotham soon dispersed an disappeared from her sight on the streets. Her eye's narrowed as she dodged rough vehicles. Finally meeting a police line, but no police. She winced at the thought. She has only 5 blocks from the square.
"They called for a immediate evacuation. I'm going to connect you to Robin."
'Tim is in Gotham?'
Cassandra thought, letting the surprise distract her from the loss of people. She saw, four police cars ahead of her and a opening space between the thicket line. She was soon past it and pressing forward towards the shapes... alien shapes that she was soon to fight.
"CASSANDRA!"
Oracle cried, apparently having seen something. But the woman entitled Batgirl had already heard the his. She turned the motorcycle into a 360, her left leg on the street as she ducking into it. The alien went flying above her, giving her a chance to pull out a bat net, which in this case happened to be held within a long metallic tube. Her left hand gripped the tube and her impeccable aim (which is not as good as GA's xD) hit the alien on the back and released the net around it.
"WOOOAHHH!"
Oracle screamed in excitement, amazement and happiness. She watched the motorcycle get back up and zoom down the street. She turned to Batman's special screen.
"Cass! Batmans got himself surrounded, he's three blocks down... there's a ramp you can--"
"mhmm!"
Cassandra huffed, pulling the handle bars on the machine back and riding on one wheel, she dodge a couple of attacks. She'd have to come back and take care of these guys. She caught sight of the ram, and the 5 or 6 aleins that surrounded a figure on the floor. She knew what her next step had to be. She pulled to her left,
"Connected to Timmy!"
Oracle cried in her ear, as she turned to Batgirls screen and watched the motorcycle soar into batman's screen, the vehicle crashed into the head of two of the aliens who'd lifted themselves to look at it. It was a bloody mess. The motorcycle and the body's flew across the street. But it was also the figure who held the tips of her cape that caught her attention.
"Robin."
Cassandra asked Oracle, expecting she'd connected them in a three way. She let go of the tips of her cape, her legs apart as she spun. Her left leg making contact with an alien head and sending him flying with a crack. She rolled, jumped in front of batman and blocked a fist from hitting him in the chest. The claws on her wrists dug into her next foe's flesh. She caught a wiff of alien breath as it leaned in before she forced her arms back, blood spattering on her uniform, her leg coming forward and kicking it backwards. Watching his wound quickly regenerate.
(Hope you like my Batgirl-coming-in-to-kick-alien-ass-moment lol)

The Bat population was literally growing at an alarming rate. Perhaps that was an exaggerated account, but nowadays it seemed as if just about everybody was growing fond of picking up a bat mantle and running around Gotham City in hopes of protecting the city. Of course, Batman did not approve of most of this, but it wasn't something that was exactly in his control. Although the extra hands helped, he was very territorial, and didn't like the idea of someone who wasn't of his caliber running around and performing the same stunts as he did. It took a lot to be a Gotham Knight, and the last thing he wanted was another “Bat-grave” dedicated to another fallen Gotham Knight that could have been better, shouldn't not have been out there, and would have become someone greater.
He didn't exactly push anyone to pick up a mantle as important as his own. It wasn't one of those jobs that most parents would want their children to pursue. Then again, what would he know about anything like that.
Like a turtle on its back, the Dark Knight found himself moving side to side on the hard concrete ground trying to avoid the vicious slashes made by the aliens above him. It wasn't until an alien completely pin itself above him that he knew that he would have to start fighting really dirty here. Preparing himself to rid of the beast above him, he and fortunately the hoard of aliens turned at the sound of the incoming roar of a motorcycle's engine.
Gazing at the oncoming figure for several seconds, Batman immediately recognized the red lined costume of the Batwoman. A vigilante that he didn't directly approve of, but someone who he would have to do with.
'She's done more good than any other vigilante and can handle herself... but I'll still hold upon her the benefit of the doubt. I don't know if she's ready. No one's ever ready.'
Watching her flip off her motorcycle and land on top of one of the alien creatures. Batman braced himself, feeling the alien rise slightly before it was completely thrown in the air by the female caped crusader. Quickly taking the opportunity, the Dark Knight jumped on his feet and poised himself. Ramming his knuckles together, he felt the sparks ignite and the electricity once again spurt out of the brass knuckles.
Stepping back to avoid one of the creature's claws, Batman felt it barely graze his skin. Gritting his teeth slightly he could see the slash marks appear on his suit, indicating the near miss the creature had to his heart.
His back touched against that of Batwoman, and he turned slightly giving her a glance that insinuated that he would accept their informal alliance, for now.
"I think we need some help."
*VroOooOM!*
Before he could respond to that, both Batman and Batwoman turned to watched a bright red figure zip around them on a motorcycle.
'Robin'
Everyone and everything was captivated by the young boy wonder leaped from the seat of his vehicle and landed on the ground below. Under the strict tutelage of the Dark Knight, Robin's years of practice shined as he brilliantly wove through the circle of aliens, making his way towards the center where both Batwoman and Batman stood. Once again working with the situation, Batman swiftly moved forward and slammed his whole body into an alien causing it to stumble back and hiss slightly as it fell upon its comrades.
Robin landed upon the aliens face before finally landing right between Batwoman and Batman. This now made the fight a three on, well hundreds at least.
“We're dealing with some extraterrestrial force here.”
The Dark Knight began, he could feel the little trio tighten as the aliens began to surround them once again.
“They have regenerative abilities. Reactive adapative abilities, and they can put up a good fight. This isn't... going to be easy.”
He continued, giving them a quick brief of the situation before them. His tattered appearance should provide enough support towards that idea. These aliens were not push overs, and seeing as to how they were capable of taking out at least a quarter of the city on all their own, they were definitely not supposed to be taken lightly.
“We need to find-”
Another roar in the distance and another motorcycle sped onto the scene.
'Aside from picking up the bat mantle... appearing on a motorcycle is a new trend in Gotham as well.'
The Dark Knight thought to himself as Batgirl arrived, as always coming in with the most elegant and extravagant of entrances. This of course was expected since she was the quite possibly the youngest elitist warrior of her time. He expected nothing more or less from her, in fact that's how he felt about anyone who came under his wing. Under the Bat Family.
Now clenched together as a group of four, Batman quickly calculated the odds of them winning. They seemed pretty fair. Moving slightly, he watched every single movement from all directions making sure that he, or any of his bat family members would be caught off guard. He was watching their backs, his back, and they were no doubt doing the same.
“We need to find a weak spot.”
'Because all natural things have one. And there's no doubt that these creatures have a vulnerable part of their bodies. Possibly an artery, or a tender spot beneath their boned armor.'
“Every one of them has one... we just need to find it.”
Growls and hisses surrounded them, and all members stood poised prepared for battle. Prepared to win.
With his hands hidden beneath his cape that draped over his entire body. He moved it towards his utility belt, and pulled out the weapons that he needed for this precise moment.
“Disperse... and take them down any way possible.”
He finally said, before whipping his hands out and tossing forward a hail of smoke gas. Releasing his grapple, he connected with a street light, and flew over the heads of the aliens. Before flying over the last one, the Dark Knight launched forward grabbing the alien by its broad shoulders and pushing it down to the ground. Pulling out a bat-a-rang, he pinned the alien to the ground, looking down at it, and quickly studying its outer anatomy.
'It's time to take you apart.'
Bruce though, bringing the bladed edge of the bat-a-rang down and and cutting it straight through the alien's chest. Behind him he could hear the sounds of combat as Batgirl, Batwoman, and Robin engaged in all out combat.

"What's going Kate? I haven't reached the station so I don't have visual."
"Its kinda hard to pay attention to the fight when I got a woman yelling in my ear!"
"Just answer the damn question Kate!"
"You're in a good mood."
Batwoman couldn't help but smirk. There was nothing funny going on but her discrete conversation with Renee Montoya. Other than that, being surrounded by extremely powerful aliens wasn't all that funny.
"Right now? Right now I'm surrounded by aliens that Batman can't even take down. Apparently they're adaptive and regerative. See why I need to pay attention?"
"Don't get smart with me, Kate! This is serious!"
"I know, that's why I'm trying to pay attention! I hope you understand."
"Understand what Kate? Kate?! KATE?! Answer me Goddam--"
Batwoman turned her comm link off and slid it into one of the pockets in her utility belt. Then, the rumble of an engine was heard in the distance. The Boy Wonder was here, thank God. Before Batwoman knew it, he was back to back with her and Batman.
“We're dealing with some extraterrestrial force here. They have regenerative abilities. Reactive adapative abilities, and they can put up a good fight. This isn't... going to be easy.”
Batwoman looked over at Batman and smirked. It didn't take a detective to realize they were aliens. Why would Batman point out something that obvious? There had to be a good reason for it. Batwoman had so many comments to make to his response but she decided, to earn trust, it wouldn't be smart to mention them.
"We need to find a weak spot."
By that time, yet another motorcycle-riding Bat-member joined the group. This time, it was Batgirl. She was .... different. Unlike the rest of them, she didn't have anything to say. That was different, too.
"A weak spot huh? I can do that."
Batwoman then kicked one of the alien's jaws with all her strength. Luckily, the alien fell back into the herd of other aliens. Batwoman smirked and slightly turned towards Batman.
"Think I found one."
Batwoman jumped into the air and landed on the fallen alien with the heel of her boot. Her boot crunched into its jaw. She stood tall and proud until one of the other aliens ruined the moment. It swiped towards her shoulder and made contact.
Batwoman fell back and gripped her shoulder. Blood oozed out of the wound as Batwoman looked up at the alien in disgust. It would so pay for that, as soon as they found a weakness. Batwoman was sure of that.

"... Three is 'a'... four is 'b'... five is 'd'... six is 'a'... Hannah, would you believe that I'm actually not blind? If I catch you texting in my classroom again, I'm going to throw your phone out the window."
Helena raised a brow at the blonde teenager sheepishly stowing her cell phone back in her backpack pocket. "Thank you," she said crisply before turning her gaze back to the answer sheet in front of her. Thank god it was sixth period. She'd already had to confiscate three phones that day, and she didn't really feel like doing so a fourth time. Some bitter girl always ended up writing rude things about her on the bathroom walls when she did.
"Seven is 'c'... eight is 'e'... nine is --" The emergency drill sounded shrilly around her, and her students exchanged puzzled glances with each other before turning to their teacher. "Uh, Ms. Bertinelli...? Is this a drill or what?" Helena scowled as she looked around. There had been no mention of a drill today - which meant that this likely wasn't one. Deep in the pit of her stomach, Helena suddenly had a horrible feeling. "Go outside," she barked. "Forget your stuff, just make like it's a drill - James, I said leave your stuff!" Sensing the urgency in their teacher's voice, the students quickly stood up and hurried out of the classroom. Helena waited until the last of them had exited before swooping down to retrieve her bag from under the desk.
It wasn't an earthquake or fire... so who knew if the Huntress might be needed.
Helena rushed out after her students, her bag slung over one shoulder. "Any idea what's going on?" asked one of her fellow teachers as they guided the students through the hallways. "Not a clue," Helena replied, grateful that she was tall for a woman as she moved through the sea of people. The question was answered as soon as they stepped out of the building. Screams erupted around her, and Helena's blue eyes widened at the sight of the city before her.
"Holy --!"
Any other time, she might have been a bit concerned by the expletives that escaped her lips while around her kids, but at that moment Helena had bigger things to worry about. Her instincts were to stay with her students and try to get them to safety, but Helena knew that the other teachers could do that well enough without her - but there were only a few others that could help against the threat itself. Helena pushed through the frantic crowd of teenagers, slipping behind one of the high school's portables. She dropped her bag to the ground and, after a quick glance around to make sure no one was watching the switch, stripped out of her civvies and quickly pulled on her Huntress uniform.
Time to kill some... whatever the hell those things were.
Getting downtown took longer than she would have liked, but it wasn't like she could keep her motorcycle in the bushes at school, not with all of those teenagers around. Thus, the Huntress was one of the last to arrive on the scene, much to her chagrin. She knew Batman already barely approved of her, and getting there late wouldn't help. It didn't look like they were having much luck without her anyway; Helena wasn't sure how much help she would be.
Releasing her grappling hook and landed on the street in time to hear Batman's orders, Helena pulled out her crossbow and began shooting at anything that didn't look terrestrial enough for her liking. She wasn't part of his crew, but he knew more about these things than she did. "Anyone know what the hell these things are?" Helena asked as she shot several arrows at one of the aliens, aiming for the usual soft spots: belly, throat, eyes, mouth. None appeared to have any sort of effect on the creatures, but hey. That wasn't going to stop Helena, not by a long shot. Sitting back and doing nothing wasn't an option. Something had to work - it was like Batman said, they had to have a weakness. They just needed to find it.

Where the hell was Cass and Dick?
No sooner had he finished that thought then the very girl of his thoughts chose to make her appearance. She flew in over the heads of the aliens, her cape whistling and flapping through the air behind her as the roar of the motorcycle whined through the noise of the battle. She flies from the seat as he had just mere minutes before, sending the machine to decapitate a few of the creatures.
"Robin?"
He didn't even start at the cackle of static that burst into his right ear as Cass' voice echoed through the line. "Batgirl?" he asks as Batman speaks, his mentors gravelly voice resounding in his ears.
“We need to find a weak spot.”
Tim nodded in agreement, his bo staff clenched in his hands as behind the mask his eyes rove over the army of creatures that they now faced.
"A weak spot huh? I can do that." This from Batwoman. Not someone he had worked with before, and now wasn’t the greatest time to find out if she was incapable.
“Every one of them has one... we just need to find it.”
Cru-unchh
"Think I found one."
Tim smirked at the wry humor in her voice.
If his fingers could clench the staff any tighter, this teenager wasn’t sure he wanted to find out. As it was, his knuckles were probably pure white at this point. Adrenaline was shooting through his bloodstreams and the fatigue, stress and worries that he had carried for so long were put on the back burner as he waited for Bruce’s next words.
Out of the corner of his eye, Robin could see Batman searching and finding the necessaries within his utility belt. His eyes high light upon Batman’s knuckles, noting that his mentor was using electric brass knuckles. He pulls his own out for his left hand, still clenching the staff in his other. He eyes the staff, realizing that it would not be much help in ridding of the aliens. Searching through the belt again, Tim finds what he was looking for and attaches sharp hooks the ends of the staff.
“Disperse... and take them down any way possible.”
Swiftly, Tim nods as he moves without thinking, firing a razor sharp batarang off from his hand at the alien that now loomed over Batwoman from her position on the ground. It slices into it’s neck, oozing that strange blue blood as hopefully one last gurgle escapes from the creature. He had thrown it with such force, the neck was nearly separated into two.
The roar of a motorcycle catches the barest amount of attention from Tim. Huntress. He supposed that she was part of the bat-crew, but not really one of them.
"Anyone know what the hell these things are?"
“Not really, no. All we really know for sure is that their alien, and it’s hell to kill them.” Tim stated, his voice monotonous to Huntress’ question as he easily performs a backflip to avoid the whip like movement one of the creatures made towards him. He fired back with a punch of the electrically charged brass knuckles to its neck. Fried alien flew back with a crunch. Jokingly Tim speaks up as he roundhouse kicks another in the jaw, “Anyone hungry for fried alien?”

"Batgirl?"
“Welcome back to Gotham Robin!”
Barbra chimed, Cassandra blocked her out. Already moving besides her fellow bat family members. Her eye's narrowing, her body crouched low to the floor. She observed her foes movements, feeling uneasy besides Robin after what Deathstroke had done to her--- what she'd done to him. She looked up to Batman for direction, as he was they're leader.
“We need to find a weak spot.”
"A weak spot huh? I can do that."
“Every one of them has one... we just need to find it.”
Crunch
"Think I found one."
Cassandra silently agreed with Batman, Batwomans opponent was already regenerating. Her eye's again narrowed in the direction of her next foes. Her hand slipped into one pouch and took out a batrang. How, she remembered when she could go down into the batcave and study her enemies moves before she met them again so they would surely meet they're demise. Now she wouldn't have to opportunity to do that, much later maybe. All her attention would have to be focused on finding said weak spot. She'd have to hit a part of the body that wouldn't regenerate. That body part- which one could it be?
“Disperse... and take them down any way possible.”
Cassandra ran forward, the batrang she had taken out of her pouch flew from her fingers and the aliens head it was directed at turned. The sharp end of the batrang grazed the skin of its forehead leaving a nasty gash. As the Alien growled and tried to regain its footing, Cassandra's fist came in contact with his face sending him flying backwards. She observed his body, noting the small size of his ears, large round eye's, black skin and the odd blood oozing from its neck. She moved backwards, as the alien sprung from the ground.
“Physically they're--- invulnerable.”
Cassandra said, intending for Oracle to input one bit of helpful information.
"No, if Superman was he he'd probably be able to physically defeat these guys."
"I'm not Superman."
Cassandra dodged a series of punches, fist thrusts the alien made to hit her with.
"They have 0% fighting skill."
Oracle mused, watching Cassandra duck low to the ground and sweep the single alien off its feet. The batgirl encircled the alien, its back, possible weak point-- the spine. If they had one. She pulled out another bat rang, before she could even toss it, two aliens came down upon her, forcing her to roll forward as they're faces collided with hard street cement.
"Where are they coming from?"
Oracle thought aloud, as though finding where they came from was more important then finding out how to take them out. Cassandra was stepping backwards and finding herself being circled by 5 aliens.

Gotham. A city he had not been to for some time now. It was where he was born, where he was raised, and where he realized his purpose. It was here that Anarky declared that he would no longer sit idlely by as the common man was oppressed and exploited by the system. It was here that he first butted heads with the Batman. No matter where he was, when he awoke or went to sleep, Anarky knew that it would call him back one day. Gotham would always call her sons back to her... And today was no exception.
There was no time for sight seeing; no time for catching up with old friends; and no time to bust some corrupt businessmen. Anarky was here to lend a helping hand. MAX had been among the first world wide that had detected the invaders, picking up the energy signals and contacted him. His first thought was getting the people as far from the city as he could and so he hit the streets to help as many people as he could get away from the city. It was there that Anarky first encountered the creatures first hand and he was far from equipped to handle them.
Anarky did not leave Washington without anything though, he had already studied how they behaved and that was one step closer in dealing with this malicious enemy. To deal with any kind of inhuman threat, you had to make yourself even more inhuman. That is why he was in a large, suit of powered armor that served as a Universal Battle Suit for harsh environments. Anarky made sure to modify the suit so that it was up to spec against these new invaders. Light reflected off of the yellow dome shaped visor and the crimson metal of the armor as he saw that Batgirl was surrounded by unfriendly aliens. "No time to waste..." Anarky thought as he raised one of the bulky fists of the suit and let loose a single beam of energy that collided into one of the creatures, sending it flying backward.
"Calling them invulnerable is abit premature..." Anarky announced as two of the aliens surrounding Batgirl broke off to charge toward him. Now it was time to really test his new battle armor and see if he had a better chance of dealing with these creatures. One leaped into the air baring it's claws as Anarky raised an armored forearm before swinging the arm at the incoming alien, whacking it's side and sending it skidding across the ground as the second one used the lull to leap onto Anarky. No sooner had it done so, Anarky's suit released a charge of electricity that would have normally killed a human being, but the alien only had parts of it's skin ripped from it's bones before it fell over spasaming in agony.
Anarky then almost buckled forward as another creature leaped onto his back, trying to rip apart the outter layer of Anarky's plating before it too was electricuted and forced off. "MAX? How did you miss that?" Anarky intoned to the A.I abit alarmed as Anarky spun around to the alien behind him and blasted it's head clean off with another blast of energy from his wrist.
"Sir, miss what? I detect no aliens around you. I can only sense when your suit is attacked by outside forces..." MAX promptly replied. He could only detect them if they attacked his armor? Then they had some sort of field that made them invisible to electronics...
The creature Anarky had turned his back on a moment ago then rose back up, Anarky spinning around to see the bits of skin burned off regenerate again as it back handed Anarky and was almost knocked off his feet if not for the mechanized servos of his suit to hold him upright. Anarky raised his suit's wrist blaster again, changing the frequency to a higher level before he fired and tore a hole through it's head making it fall over. "Thank you Star Trek..." Anarky thought with a triumphant grin behind his visor.

The result of his single command was the dispersal of the Bat Family. From all directions each member burst toward, their bodies propelling through the air gracefully or their figures rushing head on to take on the alien scum. From the corner of his eye he surveyed their actions, hoping to find something through what they did however he had to remember he had his own batch of enemies to deal with. Although the greatest detective and one of the top fighters of his time, situations like these were not very wise to multi task in.
"Think I found one."
Batwoman's voice reached his ears, and he performed a backwards flip that allowed him some space from the aliens and himself. Turning slightly he watched as she dealt a powerful kick to the bottom of the alien's chin and landed on the ground with a triumphant look on her face. Her glory was quickly taken away from her as one of the alien's swiped at her leaving her once again on the defense. As for the alien she had taken down, it rolled off the floor setting its vengeful sights on Batwoman.
”It couldn't be that easy.”
The Dark Knight thought to himself as he thrust down a few smoke pellets, and leaped into the air, leaving behind a grey cloud for the distorted aliens to bump around in. Landing on the ground in crouch form, Batman turned on the balls of his feet and launched a grapple line feeling it attach to something, the Dark Knight quickly reeled it in, not surprised to see an alien dragging across the ground towards him.
Moving with ease and swiftness, he released the grapple line from the alien and tossed a ice pellet towards it. There was always the possibility that they were vulnerable to extreme temperatures. It was always worth a shot.
Watching the alien completely freeze over and become an immobilized figured within a block of ice Batman narrowed his eyes watching the alien, waiting for movement. Movement came at his side and he nimbly dodge, barely evading the attack and having the alien's claw embed itself into his cape. Almost grinning at him, the alien tugged after their brief pause for observation and pulled the caped crusader close to itself. Using practicality, Batman pulled out his acetylene torch and aimed the small cutting laser for the alien's eye.
It's squeal reached his ears and he watched as its eye began to bubble and then finally explode within its socket. Tearing through his cape completely, it stumbled back holding its eye as corrosive acid fell from it and burned through its own hand and onto the concrete floor.
”That could be something...”
Batman thought to himself as he watched the alien bring its burned hand back and stared at it with its other functional eye.
*THuuNK!*
He grunted as something hard hit him square in the back. His knees buckled and he fell to the ground. Behind him he heard whatever hit him fall on the ground and shatter. Small ice shards scattered near his left hand and he immediately spun around to see the alien that he had left in a block of ice earlier coming down at him.
Brandishing a thermite grenade, he quickly tossed it towards the alien, and watched as it burst into flames. Rolling over, he evaded the falling alien and kicked back up to run away from another hoard of oncoming aliens.
As he ran, he heard a familiar voice echo throughout his mind.
’From all the field reports, this is what we know: At approximately 9:04 am EST, wormholes began appearing all over the earth. Alien creatures of unknown origin came through the wormholes and immediately began killing all life they encountered.’
Comet relayed what data he did know to Batman, and no doubt to the other Justice League Members, of course the information he received was something he already knew. Skidding to a halt, he turned finding himself surrounded by aliens front and back. Breathing in and out, he raised his hand blocking one charging alien at the neck with his wrist gauntlets. Gritting his teeth he felt his own body slide backwards as the alien clamped its jaw right in front of his face, its ferocity growing even more as it recognized the fact that the little man before him was holding him back.
’The alien creatures heal at accelerated rates, including the ability to regenerate lost limbs. They possess super strength, easily capable of tossing vehicles and punching holes through steel. They have extremely durable exteriors; reports have seen them survive small and large caliber weapons, RPGs, and some reports of surviving small missile fire. There has been no sign of them using any form of technology and no one has any idea of their origin.’
'If they can survive missile fire... then what can WE use against them?”
The thought swam in the Dark Knight's mind as he studied the alien before him. He knew about the tough exterior, he knew that regular weapons could not successfully penetrate their skins. He also knew that even his fighting skills would not hold them back.
'At the rate that they adapt and heal it's a miracle that we are still holding them back. But if they can't be attacked from the outside, there has to be something internal, something inside them that provides a feasible weakness'
"Batman, please help me. I'm scared."
He blinked, his thoughts becoming distorted. The alien continued to clamp its jaw before him, attempting to bite him. Bewildered by the familiar voice in his head, he activated and release devices on his gauntlets and felt the spikes along the forearm of his gauntlet burst off, and shoot directly into the alien's neck. It roared as it stumbled backwards trying to claw out the spikes.
”What was that Comet?”
Batman thought, relaying his thoughts becoming slightly confused by what he had just heard.
’I noticed something strange every time one of the creatures would kill; the life-force of the victim would be absorbed into the alien creature and slowly dissipate after a few moments. I have yet to determine what this means. It could be that they are feeding off the life-force, but something doesn’t seem right about that.’
Was Comet's response and Batman knew that something was not right. Turning around and around he looked, gazing beyond the aliens, searching for something until he finally saw it. He saw the faint image of the young girl known Ace and he studied her forever solemn face and h almost soulless eyes. Suddenly figure turned around and ran, disappearing into the light.
“Ace?”
Batman's call of her name echoed for several seconds until finally a massive tri clawed hand slammed against the side of his head and send him twirling to the ground. He ignored the pounding in his head as well as the hot liquid the leaked down from his temple and kicked off the ground prepared to take on his enemies once again.
'Could that have been Ace? Impossible, she's dead. But then why would she appear at a time like this? Is she the cause of all this. No... she can't be... she's dead.”
His body ricocheted forward, off the ground and toward an alien. Brandishing his electric knuckles again, he sent it straight into the alien's abdomen, and then swiped at its legs with his own. Hearing it thud on the ground, he leaped onto its face digging the back of its skull into the ground and leaped off. Clamping his hands together, he brought them down right onto an alien's head, and watched as its knees gave way and let it fall onto the ground.
From the corners of his eyes he could see the rest of his allies fighting violently and with equal ferocity against these creatures. They were even joined by Huntress and Anarky, but even their numbers were no match to their enemies.
'We can't keep fighting like this. This is their goal, they plan to tire use down until we finally give in and have no choice but to be devoured by them. But if we retreat now, they'll focus their attention on the greater population and we would have already lost.'
His knuckles slammed into another creature and he followed through with a deadly combo. Deadly of course if he were using it one a normal human.
'Maybe their vulnerable to some sort of disease. No that would not work, because they can adapt to just about anything. Blowing them up works, but if pieces of them are left, they will regenerate. Even if their heads are gone which I presume their brains are in, their bodies are still capable of functioning normally. Extreme temperatures force no changes in them. Maybe certain smells will distort them, but there are so many different odors it would take too long to pinpoint one. Or maybe something on their home world is a weakness.... but that can't be determined if we don't find out where these things are from!'
Seeing that he had created a distance between himself and the aliens, Batman pulled out his explosive Batarangs and tossed them forward. Watching all five of them attach itself to the aliens, he brandished his remote detonator and walked back, creating more of distance.
Pressing on the detonator, he heard the slight beep that erupted from the bombs, and in a split second the entire front row of the alien hoard was blown to smithereens.
'Wait... what was that?'
Just before the alien's had exploded he had seen their body movements. They had twitched slightly, it wasn't a normal twitch it was as if something had bothered them, something had irritated them only slightly. But that slightly was enough for him. Unfortunately they blew up before he could actually assess their movements, but at least he had something.
’Batman… the Flash may have found a weakness against the creatures. I need you and your allies to use as many sonic weapons against the creatures as possible. Try various frequencies, levels of amplitude, and such. Monitor the results and repeated effects.’
And there it was, Comet's words echoed throughout his head, and the Dark Knight pulled out the various explosives that he held in his utility belt.
'They have a weakness... now we just need to pinpoint what their limit is.'
He looked around, hoping to share the newfound information with the rest of the bat family, however he found that they were scattered throughout the square, and therefore could not physically relay the information to them. Pressing the right side of his cowl, just below his pointed ears he tuned into the channel he shared with Batgirl and Robin, who were naturally always linked to him on a day to day basis. He could only hope that the other players on the field would recognize their actions and catch on.
“Robin, Batgirl, the Flash may have found something to work against these aliens. I want you to use any device that emits a frequency and find out which one irritates them the most.”
Releasing his various explosives, he waited, and watched, pressing down on the remote detonator and hearing the sound before it actually exploded. After a several tries and tests, the Dark Knight concluded that the explosive Batarangs were not doing any significant damage to the aliens, rather just irritating them for a moment before they were actually blasted to bits.
He brandished his Flash Bang Grenade and tossed it forward. The device released a powerful flash of light as well as a loud sound. Typically this was used to stun his pursers or enemies, he could only imagine how much of an effect this would have on the aliens.
'Since it releases a louder noise, perhaps it'll be enough to do more damage to them.'
As the light cleared, Batman looked on with interest to see the faint figures of the aliens down on their knees and holding the sides of their heads. So the Flash Bang Grenade was enough to get them down on the ground, but what could get them down and out?
'I need something louder... these things probably have an extraordinary range of hearing, most likely higher than ours... what is louder in comparison to a normal human?”
Then it hit him, like a ton of bricks. He was a bit disappointed that he hadn't thought of this before. Taking out his grapple, he extended the line and landed atop a two story building. Pressing a button on his utility belt, the bottom of his left boot glowed a deep red, and he could hear an extremely faint screech in his ear. Bending down, he pulled out the small beeping device from the heel of his boot and studied the alien's reaction to it.
Releasing a sound that was well over 300 decibels, the Dark Knight had created it in order to call upon a flock of bats from very far. It needed to be as loud as possible in order to summon the small creatures, and even in the middle of the day he knew that they would come, the artificial bat signal was just that loud. Well for them.
Watching the aliens below shriek and holler in pain, Batman turned hearing the familiar rustle of wings and caught sight of the oncoming fleet of bats. Most likely a population that was well over a hundred, he took the small device and tossed it down into the ground of aliens. There the bats followed, soaring straight past the Dark knight their little bodies brushing against him as they soared down into the pit of squealing aliens delivering sonar echoes that reached at least 140 decibels.
One probably wasn't enough to keep the aliens down, but when over a hundred squealing bats in search of food were shrieking in their ears, Batman knew that they would not be able to nimbly act as they normally could have.
”Comet, I hope you see this, because I think we have something here. If you have the Black Canary on a link tell her to release a sonic scream that is over at least 300 decibels. I think we found the weakness of these things.”
The Dark Knight relayed to Comet, his eyes staring down into the sea of bats that fluttered rapidly around the group of aliens surrounding the sole bat signal that lay somewhere within their cowering bodies.

The alien Anarky had just blasted a moment ago twitched and writhed about for a moment as the hole in it's head gradually began to seal up and regenerate itself. "Right, so conventional methods are out of the question." Anarky thought with dismay as he slowled backed away from the group of aliens that were menacing toward him. Two dove for him as he kicked his suit's jets on and flew over them, the third one grabbing ahold of his ankles and getting it's wrists slightly burned as it slammed him back down into the pavement.
Anarky cringed in pain as his suit jolted within, rolling over and kicking the same alien backward as it tried to pounce on him. Standing back to his feet, Anarky watched what Batman was doing out of the corner of his eye as a group of aliens had reacted stranglely to the bat-bombs' beeping noise. "Interesting..." Anarky thought as one of his sparring partners lounged for him. Anarky grabbed the thing's forearms and held it at bay, keeping his visored face back from it's snapping jaws before he twisted his torso and began swinging the creature off it's feet into the other creatures trying to get at him. Letting it fly off into the wall of a nearby building, Anarky heard a loud beeping sound.
Whatever it was, Anarky noticed that the aliens hated it and thats when he decided to try a little trick. He didn't have any gadgets specificly that made any loud noise, but his blaster if charged enough could emit a loud ringing sound. He decided to put this to the test and began charging up his blaster to a very high frequency making the device ring loudly in concert with Batman's bat attracting device, making the aliens almost keel over as blood began to slowly drip from their ears. He then had to release the charge, deciding to shoot up into the sky so as not to damage anything as the ringing of his blaster died down.

"I wanna grow up to the be the Pope!"
"Women can't be the Pope, Helena."
Huntress shook her head as she imagined even ever wanting that. Then again, she had imagined such an outrageous idea while her family was still alive. In fact, it was the night her family was murdered that she thought of such a thing. She even told her brother while they were hiding under a table while her parents were fighting. Later that evening, her family was murdered at the dinner table.
She then moved in with another family who was later arrested for murder and such, leaving her with yet another family. It was safe for Helena to say her life was hell. To top all this off, she finally was able to calm her rage and then she witnessed the murder of one of her students. This finally threw her over the edge. She hadn't gotten revenge on the men that did that but everyday she reminded herself not to forget.
Now, here she was, in the middle of a huge herd of aliens, fighting for her life alongside the rest of the Bat-Family. The whole time they were fighting, it was clear the aliens were adaptive and they had no weakness. At least, they had a weakness that no one could find. Huntress knew just as well as everyone else around her that Batman was thinking of a weakness as they fought. It was clear, just by the look on his face.
Huntress pulled out a miniature crossbow, her weapon of choice, from its holster on her leg and cocked it. It was fully loaded with poison-tipped arrows and she was ready to fire. Contrary to before the murder of her student, she began shooting the arrows at the aliens' heads right between their eyes. It took two or three arrows to do it, but they eventually fell. Huntress was constantly moving. Jumping up, ducking down, and running to and fro. She had to dodge, aim, and kill.
These arrows are poision-tipped. Could that be the weakness? Unlikely. Batman probably already tried that. Damn! Hate when he's right ...
Huntress ran towards a group of aliens, three or four maybe, and when she got three feet from them, jumped in the air and thrust her left leg out. She came down on one of the aliens, putting her foot right into his open mouth. As she came down, she elbowed an alien to her right in the face and spun him into a pole. She finally landed on the ground and cracked the alien's jaw in half. She turned and shot the alien to her left with her crossbow three times.
She flipped backwards and, once she landed on her feet, slid back towards the wall behind her. She was soon cornered by five massive aliens against the wall. Huntress's eyes narrowed and she scowled. She pulled her cape over her shoulders and, under her cape, pulled two smoke pellets from her belt. In one swift motion, she threw them down and jumped upwards. Above her was a street sign and she quickly grabbed onto it. She held on with her left hand because in her right hand was her crossbow.
Quickly thinking, Huntress tossed her crossbow onto the roof of the building that was behind her. She swung forwards and landed on the roof briskly. There, she could have a bird's eye view of the battle. Robin, Batman, and Batgirl was down below fighting their hearts out trying to protect Gotham. Huntress soon noticed a group of three aliens making their way towards Robin. She gasped and jumped off the roof. Spinning twice, she landed right in front of them.
"You really should learn to stalk a lot better."
Huntress shot one of the aliens in the face three times and then swung her leg upwards, shattering its jaw. The alien crumpled to the ground, obviously angering its friends. Huntress smirked oh so slightly and swung her right hand, the one holding the crossbow, towards the alien's face. It grabbed her wrist and lifted her from the ground. Huntress gasped as the alien threw her to the side. She slammed against a wall and fell to the ground. Huntress growled and slowly pushed herself back up.
"Damn it! All you freaks got?!"
She noticed the two aliens pressing closer towards Robin so Huntress finally folded her crossbow up and slid it back in the holster. She pulled her twin pistols out and fired towards the aliens. At least five or six bullets pierced the aliens' skin and they finally couldn't help but collapse. Huntress ran towards their bodies and finally jumped up, flipped once, and landed on the other side of the bodies.
"You're welcome, Bird Boy."
“Robin, Batgirl, the Flash may have found something to work against these aliens. I want you to use any device that emits a frequency and find out which one irritates them the most.”
Huntress turned towards the Bat, who finally spoke. She was now very pissed off. How could he not notice her?! Huntress scowled and ran past Robin and towards Batman. She jumped into the air, flipped twice, and landed on the other side of the Dark Knight. She aimed her guns at an alien just past Batman and fired. The bullets came painfully close to his face and killed the alien.
"I believe you missed one of your own teammates, Batman. Next time, you'll wish you didn't."
Huntress flipped back into a backflip and put her pistols away. She was ready to kick ass with her own fists. She then actually remember what Batman had said and decided it was time to test out a device she recieved back when the Birds were still together. Black Canary, with the help of Oracle, designed a device that emmitted sonic waves just as powerful as her Canary Cry. Huntress turned it on and threw it into a huge group of aliens.
"Cover your ears!"

“Welcome back to Gotham Robin!”
“Robin, Batgirl, the Flash may have found something to work against these aliens. I want you to use any device that emits a frequency and find out which one irritates them the most.”
"Thanks Oracle. Not exactly the welcoming party I was imagining, but it'll do." Tim smirked into his comm-link as he nods swiftly to Batman's sudden appearance in Robin's link. Tim knew that Bruce was linked to only the immediate batfam, which was why for over two months, Tim's had 'disappeared'.
Those two months had been hell.
But that was over. This was now. Tim needed to pay the utmost attention to everything going on around him.
With one hand searching for anything in his belt, the other hand clutching his bo staff, Tim's masked eyes narrowed at an alien heading straight for him. Okay. So there was actually a lot headed for him. But for some reason, Tim eye's just locked on this one.
A yell of combat echoes around Tim's ears as he flips agilely over several rubble heaps and roundhouse kicks the alien right in the chest. He follows up with an uppercut that would have broken any jaw.
Batmans words echo in his head and Tim returns to rooting in his belt...Anything would help. Anything.
A flash of purple catches the Robins gaze and he swiftly turns in time to see and hear Huntress dispatch three aliens that had been about to ambush him.
Not very smart creatures... Haven't yet realized that we work as a team... But smart enough to form the most basic of tactical battle plans.
"You're welcome, Bird Boy."
Tim nods, turning his attention back to finding the device. Swiftly he dodges out of the claws of yet another alien as he triumphantly pulls a dog whistle from his pack.
Hey. It works.
Tim puts it to his lips and blows as hard as he possibly can.
The results? Slightly irritated aliens that now just wanted to kick his ass even more.
A bright flash of light followed by a bang nearly blinds Tim as he discards the dog whistle in favor of more explosive and higher frequency weapons that he might have on his person.
When the dust cleared, "Thanks Bruce." Tim thought, he saw what Batman had managed to do. He had brought them to their knees. It was all Tim could do at the moment, just watch. So many were now on their knees as Batman summoned the many bats.
How long would this last though? Robin was becoming weary of this battle and its many losses were taking it's tolls on the masked vigilante. He had long since realized that the aliens regenerated after so much.
[OOC: good god... I really suck right now...I'm just rambling through out this entire post..]
"Cover your ears!"
Tim didn't even bother to look. It came to a point in his life, where if someone yelled anything remotely like that, he just did it.
It usually worked out better for you if you did.
With a weary shrug, Tim claps his hands over his ears and crouches down. Just in case.
