Peace, in the sense of the absence of war is of little value when it cannot be maintained. Only a few months have passed and already Earth and it's greatest heroes find themselves in total chaos. In actuality, it's not only a global problem, but a galactic one. Portals have opened up through out the milky way and from them Alien species from another dimension have emerged with seemingly one mission in mind: Complete annihilation of all sentient beings in the Milky Way Galaxy. Coming on as a complete ambush, the galaxy's finest are forced to battle at the end of their wits and brawn against an enemy who seems to be invulnerable, inhumanely strong, and strategic. Unaware of the aliens' motives, their origin, or what they are exactly every hero and villain alike must band together to fight against a force that is willing to destroy an entire galaxy without any hint of remorse or hesitation. With Earth's greatest hero still missing in action and legions of heroes fighting against a completely unpredictable event, every being in the Galaxy begins to ask the same question, "Will we live through this?".
